Ispiration from Bollywood

Happy Saturday Everyone! 

I took these pictures before I headed out for dinner in the city. The look in this post is definitely inspired by my love for bollywood. I mean don't we all love dramatic jewelry and those larger than life outfits. But I am obviously not attending a social party, so I had to tone down my look.  I am wearing this beautiful midi dress by Needle and thread which I purchased from ASOS website. This dress screams bollywood to me. It has beautiful hand embellished gold and white sequin embroidery design.  

I took hues from the dress to choose my accessories as I wanted to stay in the same color palate. I paired it with a white YSL clutch & nude high heel pumps. I did wear my favorite pair of kundan earrings which I had purchased in India. This look is a great way to make statement on a night out in the town. Sum Sum Summertime

Ok I have to admit that I told my self that I would never buy another hi-low dress but BCBG proved me wrong by putting a twist to this trend. This dress is actually in the gown category and comes in beautiful Charteuse color. However in pictures, I noticed the color does look yellow. This dress drapes so beautifully around the body, it has light ruching details and soft pleats. It's lightweight fabric is flowly and moves perfect as I walk giving it a very elegant look. 

I choose the accent color to be turquoise, as it is a perfect compliment. I bought my bebe heels few years back (5-6) and till today they are timeless. It was one of my best buys.

Sequins & Studs

Hello! Today is an exciting day for me. It's my birthday and I wanted to take few quick pictures of my outfit of the day and share it with you guys. I am debuting my new sequins pants that I just bought from Haute Hippie. I scored a deal with their sample sale. These retailed for $700 and I bought them just under $300. I am absolutely in love with these and they feel like second skin. I wore them all day from brunch to night out in the town. 

Also, I am carrying my new Goyard bag (birthday present from hubby but not a surprise). I have been eyeing this bag for a while now. This bag is not sold online and only Barney's carries it for now at their NY  & Beverly Hills boutiques. I placed my order at Bal Harbour Barney's with a sales associate and she waived the expedited shipping fee for me. I received the bag in two days. I am very happy with it as it is a perfect day bag. To carry the same outfit through the night, I swapped my bag for a YSL clutch. I have taken pics with both bags for your viewing pleasure! Hope you guys have a great day. See you soon in a new post.
